STEP BY STEP
Getting started
Everything happens from the game's status bar, at the bottom of the app.

The app finds Terraria
It detects Terraria in your Steam library. If it doesn't show up, press «Set path» in the bar below and pick its folder.

Get tModLoader
In the tModLoader step of the bar, press «Install with Steam» and Steam downloads the free tModLoader. If you already have it on Steam, the app detects it; if it's in another folder, press «I already have tModLoader» and pick it.
With «Install with Steam» the mod is set up in the same click: just wait for Steam to finish downloading.

Install the mod
Press «Install mod». The app places the mod in tModLoader's mods folder and enables it, so you don't have to look for it in its menu.

Open tModLoader
Press «Launch game»: the app opens tModLoader through Steam, not regular Terraria. You can also open tModLoader from your Steam library.

Wait for «Connected» and enter your world
Once tModLoader finishes loading mods, the bar below switches to «Connected». Enter a world for effects to apply.

Choose what each gift does
In «Profiles» create an example one in a click or build your own: each gift, follow or chat command fires the effect you pick.
EFFECTS
What your chat can do
Each effect is assigned to a gift, a follow, likes or a chat command.
Enemies
Slimes, zombies, demon eyes, skeletons, the Dungeon Guardian, swarms or golden slime rain; or despawning them all.
Bosses
From King Slime and the Eye of Cthulhu to Plantera, Duke Fishron, the Empress of Light or the Moon Lord.
The world
Rain, storm, wind, day or night, blood moon, eclipse, pumpkin and frost moons, meteors, invasions and cobweb, water, honey or lava traps.
Buffs and curses
Ironskin, swiftness, regeneration, gravitation, invisibility… or poison, fire, slow, confusion, frozen and darkness.
Inventory
Random potions, weapons, armor, accessories or hooks; or dropping what you hold, exploding, clearing or shuffling your inventory.
Screen
Zoom and screen shake.

Before you go live
Steam has to be open
tModLoader won't start outside Steam. That's why the app always opens it through Steam.
Open tModLoader, not Terraria
Regular Terraria doesn't load mods: if you open it, the bar won't switch to «Running» and gifts won't arrive.
In multiplayer, be the host
It works in single player or when you host the world. If you join someone else's world, only effects on your character work: enemies, bosses and events need you to be the host.
Some effects can't be undone
Clearing, exploding or shuffling the inventory really affects your character. If you don't want to risk your main one, use a character just for streaming.
FAQ
No, it's free on Steam. You do need Terraria on your Steam account, though.
No. The mod goes in tModLoader's mods folder and regular Terraria doesn't even notice. «Uninstall mod», in the ⋯ menu of the bar below, deletes and disables it.
In the tModLoader step of the bar press «I already have tModLoader» and pick that folder. The app remembers it.
No. If the mod doesn't answer, the app holds effects for up to 10 minutes and delivers them in order as soon as it reconnects.
You probably opened regular Terraria. Close it and open tModLoader with «Launch game». If you're already in tModLoader, check in its mods menu that OverInteractive is enabled.
