How a gift reaches the game

Four stops, in under a second.

  1. A viewer sends a gift

    From TikTok, Twitch, Kick, YouTube or Starvios: a gift, a follow, likes or a chat command.

  2. OverInteractive

    Receives the event, checks your active profile for the matching effect and sends it.

  3. Effects window

    A transparent app window drawn over Fortnite with the challenge, its key and the countdown.

  4. Fortnite

    You see the challenge and carry it out with your keyboard. The game is never modified.

STEP BY STEP

Getting started

Everything happens from the game's status bar, at the bottom of the app.

    Set Fortnite to «Windowed Fullscreen»

    In Fortnite: Settings → Display → Window Mode. In regular fullscreen no window can sit on top of the game and you would not see the challenges.

    Open Fortnite

    Press «Launch game» in the bar below (it opens the Epic Games Launcher) or open it as usual. The bar switches to «Running» when it detects the game.

    Add the effects window to OBS

    OBS game capture does not include the effects window. Add a «Window Capture» of «Disrupts — OverInteractive» on top, or capture the whole display.

    Press «Try an effect»

    With the game open, the button above fires ink splats and the pickaxe-only challenge. If you see them over Fortnite and in OBS, you are all set.

    Choose what each gift does

    In «Profiles» create an example one or build your own: each gift, follow or chat command fires the challenge or effect you pick.

EFFECTS

What your chat can do

Each effect is assigned to a gift, a follow, likes or a chat command.

Battle Royale challenges

Pickaxe only, shotgun only, no healing, no shields, hip fire only, hot drop or emote now.

Build challenges

No building or ramps only, for people who build like they breathe.

LEGO and Festival

LEGO without building or Festival with your eyes closed.

Your own challenges

Write your own with their key, color and emoji; they also join the random challenge.

Screen effects

Ink, blackout, fog, flash, curtains, slime… they cover part of the screen for a few seconds.

Captcha and Tetris

They take away your mouse and keyboard until you solve them or their time runs out.

IMPORTANT

Before you go live

Why there is no mod

Fortnite's anticheat (Easy Anti-Cheat) allows nothing inside the game. That is why everything is drawn on top and you carry out the challenges.

Without «Windowed Fullscreen» you see nothing

In exclusive fullscreen the game covers every window, including the effects window.

Every challenge shows its key

The challenge shows the default key you must press; a crossed-out key means it is forbidden while it lasts.

Emergency stop

The Disrupts emergency stop instantly closes any challenge, captcha or Tetris on screen.

OBS

Let your stream see the challenges

In OBS add a «Window Capture» of «Disrupts — OverInteractive» above the game capture, or capture the whole display. Below you choose which monitor it uses and whether it stays on top of the game.

FAQ

The app does not touch Fortnite: it installs nothing inside the game. It only draws a window on top, like any overlay.
