Cloud backup saves your setup to your OverInteractive account: profiles and triggers, alerts, overlays, scenes, button deck, economy and your files. If you switch PCs or reinstall Windows, you sign in, restore and pick up where you left off. It lives in Settings → Cloud backup and only needs you to be signed in to your account.
Everything it can do
- Automatic backup every 30 minutes if something changed, and also when you close the app.
- An "Automatic backup" switch to turn it off and save only when you choose.
- A "Back up now" button to save right away.
- "Restore from the cloud" brings your saved setup to this PC, files included.
- Before restoring, a copy of the current setup is kept on this PC.
- Shows the date of the last backup from this PC and of the cloud copy, with the PC it came from.
- When you sign in on a new PC, the app offers to restore the setup it found in your account.
- After restoring, it shows you the list of things to reconnect.
What moves and what doesn't
Everything you set up moves: profiles and triggers, alerts, disrupts, overlays, scenes, button deck, goals, economy, VIP Circle, chat voice, music and your files. For security, connections and keys don't move; after restoring you reconnect the ones you use:
- Platforms: TikTok, Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Starvios.
- Pro license: paste your license key again.
- Voices with your own key: ElevenLabs, Cartesia, Fish Audio or Google.
- Integrations: OBS and Streamer.bot passwords, and the VTube Studio permission.
- Games: pick each game's folder again if it isn't detected.
Switching PCs
On the new PC, install the app and sign in with the same account. If your account holds the setup from another PC, the app tells you ("We found your setup") with the date and that PC's name, and lets you choose.
- "Restore": replaces this PC's setup with the one in your account, downloads your files and restarts the app.
- "Keep this PC's setup": the cloud copy is replaced with this PC's setup.
- Until you choose, this PC doesn't upload its setup, so it can't overwrite the good copy in your account.
Automatic backup
With "Automatic backup" on, the app saves every 30 minutes if something changed and also when it closes. If you turn it off, it only saves when you press "Back up now". The same screen shows how much space your files use and links to My files.
Step by step
- Sign in to your OverInteractive account.
- Open Settings → Cloud backup and check that "Automatic backup" is on.
- Press "Back up now" before a big change or before formatting your PC.
- On the new PC, sign in and accept the restore offer, or press "Restore from the cloud".
- When the app restarts, reconnect your platforms, license and integrations.
FAQ
Do I need Pro?
No. You only need to be signed in to your OverInteractive account. What does depend on your plan is the space for your files: 100 MB on free and 1 GB with Pro.
Why weren't my connections restored?
For security, connections, passwords and keys are never uploaded to the cloud. After restoring, the app shows you the list of things to reconnect.
It says the backup was made with a newer version of the app
The backup was saved with a newer version of OverInteractive than the one on this PC. Update the app and restore again.
