My files: your sounds, images and videos

The library behind your triggers, alerts, overlays and scenes: where each file is used and how much space you have left.

My files keeps every sound, image and video you use in the app in one place. When you upload them while signed in, they're saved to your account, so they travel with you to another PC and cloud overlays can show them too. You'll find it in the side menu, in the System group.

Everything it can do

  • One library of images, audio and videos for triggers, alerts, disrupts, scenes, overlays and every other module.
  • Upload by dragging into the window or with "Upload files", several at once.
  • Search, sort by date, name, size, uses or type, and switch between grid and list view.
  • Details panel with preview, playback, dimensions, duration and "Where it's used".
  • "Replace" swaps a file for another of the same type everywhere it's used, without touching anything else.
  • Rename, download and delete, also several at once with Ctrl + click or Shift + click.
  • A "To review" area with "Unused" and "This PC only".
  • Storage meter by file type: 100 MB on the free plan and 1 GB with Pro.

What you can upload

My files accepts three kinds of file, each with its own size limit. If a file doesn't fit, the app tells you why it wasn't uploaded.

  • PNG, JPG, GIF or WEBP images up to 10 MB.
  • MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A or FLAC audio up to 50 MB.
  • MP4, WEBM or MOV videos up to 50 MB.

Before deleting, check where it's used

When you pick a file, the details panel tells you which profiles, alerts, scenes or other modules use it. If you delete one that's in use, those places lose it: the app warns you first and shows you the list. Deleting removes the file from this PC and from the cloud.

  • "Unused" shows files that don't appear anywhere: you can delete them without changing anything on your stream.
  • "This PC only" shows files that aren't saved to your account, for example because you uploaded them without signing in.
  • To change a sound or image everywhere at once, use "Replace" instead of deleting and uploading again.

Storage and plan

The storage bar shows how much space your images, audio and videos take up and how much is free. The free plan gives you 100 MB and Pro gives you 1 GB. The app warns you when you're running low, and once it's full nothing new is uploaded until you free up space.

  • Delete what you don't use from "Unused".
  • Replace your heaviest files with lighter versions.
  • If you need a lot more space, upgrade to Pro.

Step by step

  1. Open My files from the side menu.
  2. Sign in to your account so what you upload is saved to the cloud.
  3. Drag your sounds, images or videos into the window, or press "Upload files".
  4. Use them in your triggers, alerts, disrupts and scenes.
  5. Every now and then, check "Unused" to free up space.

FAQ

Do my files move to another PC?

Yes, the ones in the cloud. On the new PC, sign in and restore your setup from Settings → Cloud backup: your files download on their own.

What happens if I delete a file I use in a trigger?

The trigger, alert or scene that used it is left without it. The app warns you first and tells you where it's used; if you just want to swap it for another file, use "Replace".

Why does a file say "This PC only"?

Because it isn't saved to your account, usually because it was uploaded while signed out. Sign in to save it to the cloud: then it travels to other PCs and cloud overlays can show it.
