The Chat overlay puts what your TikTok, Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Starvios audience writes into your scene, all in one chat. You can have several outputs, each with its own URL — for example, the full chat in a corner and another one with only mods or subs — and each output with its own layout, filters and style.
Everything it can do
- Unified chat from all five platforms, with gifts and subs mixed in if you want.
- Three layouts: Column, Ticker and One at a time (like a dialog box or subtitles).
- 12 starting styles, adjustable with your own colors and font.
- Up to six outputs, each with its own URL, layout and filters.
- What to show: avatar, platform icon, role badges, TikTok team level, VIP Circle emblem, pronouns and time.
- Filters by platform, role and minimum priority, plus hiding commands, links and emote-only messages.
- Highlights for keywords and mentions, first message of the stream and Twitch channel points, plus a color stripe by role.
- Message lifetime: max on screen, hide after a time, and entrance and exit animations.
- Cloud URL and custom CSS: Pro features.
Column, ticker or one at a time
The layout decides how your audience reads. Column is the classic chat: new messages push the old ones out. Ticker is a horizontal band where new messages come in from the right, ideal for the bottom of the screen or a vertical stream. One at a time shows a single message, with a minimum reading time and an optional typewriter effect; gifts are never skipped. Picking a style also switches to the layout it was designed for, and you can change anything afterwards.
Several outputs for several uses
Each output is an independent chat with its own URL, and "Duplicate output" is the quick way to make a variant with the same look and different filters. Each output's filters apply on top of the Chat module's: if you mute an account there, it doesn't show in any output.
- A mods-only or subs-only output, with "Only these roles".
- One for the people who matter most, by raising "Minimum priority".
- One per platform, by selecting only that one under Platforms.
Testing without being live
The live controls send "Test messages" to every output, and "Test deletion" shows what happens when a message is deleted on the platform: it disappears from your scene too. "Clear chat" empties the overlays, the chat window and the dashboard at once.
Step by step
- Open Chat in the overlay gallery (Chat & community category).
- In Style, pick one of the 12 styles; the layout adjusts with it.
- In Settings, check the layout, width, text size, how many messages show and how long they stay.
- In Content, choose what each message shows and set this output's filters.
- In Highlights, add your keywords and turn on the role stripe if it helps.
- Copy the URL, add it as a browser source as tall as your chat area, and press "Test messages".
FAQ
Do I need Pro?
Not for the essentials: the overlay, its styles and its outputs work with the local URL. The cloud URL (to use it on another PC) and custom CSS are Pro.
Do 7TV, BTTV and FFZ emotes show up?
Yes, if they're turned on in the Chat module (they are by default). "Still emotes" uses the static version of animated Twitch and 7TV emotes, when there is one.
All the names are the same color. Why?
Check "Name color" in Content: "Viewer's" uses the color each person picked on Twitch or Kick (on TikTok and YouTube everyone gets a stable color of their own), "By role" tints the streamer, mods, VIPs and subs, and "Style's" or "Fixed" make them match on purpose.
