A poll turns a decision on your stream into something the audience actually decides. Each option is a numbered lane: chat votes by typing its number, and gifts add points to whichever lane they're tied to. When it closes, the winner doesn't just sit there on a card: it can fire the trigger you hung off it.
Everything it can do
- Unlimited options, reorderable, with a custom or automatic color.
- Chat voting, one vote per person, with options to accept a bare number and to allow vote changes.
- Gifts that add points, with the coins-per-point rate you choose.
- A gift tied to a lane votes for it; untied, it reinforces the option that person already voted.
- A trigger per option: the winner runs itself when the poll closes.
- Fixed or manual voting time, and the result on screen for as long as you want.
- Three layouts: lanes, cards and a two-way duel.
- Sort by votes so whoever is winning is always on top.
- Test votes that behave exactly like real ones.
- Quick templates: yes/no/don't care, easy/normal/hard.
Two voting routes that don't compete
Chat votes for free, once per person, no matter how many times they type. Gifts are the route for whoever wants to push: each gift adds whatever the coins-per-point rate gives it. If the gift is tied to a lane it votes for that one; if not, it reinforces the option that person already voted, which is what people expect.
Make the winner do something
Tying a trigger to each lane is what separates a poll from decorative voting. On close, the app runs the winner's: the weapon that gets equipped, the boss that shows up, the modifier for the next round. And if nobody votes, you can ask it to close without crowning instead of drawing an empty lane and running its trigger.
Readable at a glance
On screen you can show percentages, points, how to vote, the tied gift and the seconds left. The fewer numbers, the faster the poll reads while you play. The three layouts solve different cases: lanes for many options, cards when each option has an identity, and duel when there are exactly two.
Step by step
- Open Poll in the overlays section and add this source to your scene once.
- Write the question and the options, or use a template.
- Tie a gift and a trigger to the lanes that need them.
- Pick the voting time, what's displayed and the layout.
- Hit "Open poll": until then, the source is empty.
- Close and announce; the winner's trigger fires on its own.
FAQ
The OBS source is blank
That's expected: the poll doesn't appear until you open it. It's one source for every poll of the stream, so you add it once and leave it.
Can I leave it open with no clock?
Yes, pick "until you close it" for the voting time. The poll holds indefinitely and you close it whenever the stream calls for it.
Can someone vote a hundred times by sending a hundred messages?
Not through chat: it's one vote per person. Through gifts they can push, which is exactly the difference between the two routes, and you decide how many coins a point is worth.
