Remote control turns your phone into the stream's controller. It opens over your local network, with nothing to install from any store, and each phone is paired just once with a QR or a PIN. From there you fire the active profile's triggers, turn them on and off, switch profiles, read chat and watch fires and gifts live. It also includes your Button deck: the Button deck is where you design buttons in the PC app, and Remote control is the phone app that carries it alongside everything else.
Everything it can do
- A phone app that opens over your Wi-Fi and can be added to your home screen.
- Pairing by QR or 6-digit PIN, once per phone; the code expires after 5 minutes.
- A list of paired phones with their status (online or offline), to rename or unpair them one by one.
- Triggers: fire any trigger from the active profile, search them, view them as a grid or a list, and press and hold to turn them on or off.
- Chat: your platforms' chat, filterable by platform, with writing on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Starvios.
- Live: fires, gifts, follows and subscriptions as they happen, with filters.
- Deck: the buttons you built in the PC app, one tap away.
- Profiles: switch the active profile from your phone.
- Platform and game status in the header, and a «Stop all» button to clear the effects queue.
- Respects each trigger's cooldown and the free-plan limit.
Remote control or Button deck
They're two pieces that work together. Button deck (Audience section of the menu) is the editor: that's where you create decks, their buttons, colors and hotkeys, and use them on the PC itself. Remote control (System section) is the phone app: it carries that deck in its Deck tab and adds triggers, chat, live activity and profiles. The old link the Button deck gives under «From your phone» still opens only the deck; to get everything, pair the phone from Remote control.
Setting up the network
The phone and the PC must be on the same Wi-Fi, with OverInteractive open. It doesn't work over mobile data or from outside your home.
- Turn on «Turn on remote control» and «Listen on the local network». It's the same setting the chat window uses on the phone.
- The first time, restart the app so it starts listening on the local network («Restart now»).
- If Windows blocks the connection, the page tells you: press «Open the port» and accept the administrator prompt.
- If no address shows up, connect the PC to a Wi-Fi network or a network cable.
The phone's five tabs
At the top you always see the status of your platforms and the game (game closed, waiting for the mod, mod connected) and the «Stop all» button: press and hold it to clear the effects queue.
- Triggers: tap to fire; press and hold to turn on or off. Each one's sheet shows its cooldown, repetitions and «Fire now».
- Chat: read the chat and write on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Starvios. TikTok is read-only.
- Live: what's happening on stream, filterable by fires, gifts, or follows and subs.
- Deck: your decks from the PC, with their second-tap confirmation.
- Profiles: switch the active profile and the Triggers tab switches to its triggers.
Adding it to your home screen
That way it opens with one tap, like an app. Over the local network it opens inside the browser, and it works the same.
- iPhone: in Safari, tap Share and choose «Add to Home Screen».
- Android: in Chrome, tap ⋮ → «Add to Home screen» → «Create shortcut».
- If the icon doesn't appear on Android, go to phone Settings → Apps → Chrome → Permissions and turn on «Home screen shortcuts» (it's off by default on Xiaomi, Oppo and Huawei), then add it again.
Step by step
- Open Remote control from the menu, System section.
- Turn on remote control and «Listen on the local network»; if asked, restart the app and open the port.
- Press «Pair a phone».
- With the phone on the same Wi-Fi, scan the QR with the camera, or open the app address and type the PIN.
- Add it to your home screen to open it with one tap.
- If you have several phones, rename them in the list and unpair the ones you no longer use.
FAQ
Does it work away from home or over mobile data?
No. The phone connects to the PC over the local network, so both must be on the same Wi-Fi and OverInteractive must be open.
Can I write in TikTok chat from my phone?
No: TikTok doesn't allow writing from outside. From the phone you can write on Twitch and Kick if they're connected, and on YouTube and Starvios if you signed in to them.
I lost my phone. What do I do?
Unpair it from the «Paired phones» list. It loses access immediately and would need a new QR to get back in. Other phones aren't affected.
Why does a trigger show «Not in the free plan»?
Because on the free plan only the profile's first triggers run, just like in the PC app. With Pro they all work.
