Stream Deck: your keys run OverInteractive

Install the plugin and put chat voice, profiles, alerts, music and your Deck buttons on physical keys.

Your Elgato Stream Deck stops being just an OBS scene switcher: with our plugin, each key turns OverInteractive features on and off, switches the game profile, fires a specific alert or presses one of the buttons you already built in your Deck. And the key isn't blind — it lights up or dims on its own with whatever is happening in the app, so one glance tells you whether chat voice is on or which profile is running.

Everything it can do

  • One-click install from the app itself, with the download progress in view.
  • Switches that reflect the real state: chat voice per platform, all voice, music, alerts and disrupts.
  • Overlays at hand: timer and stopwatch (run, reset, add time) and counters (+1, −1, reset).
  • Free text on a key: say something out loud (TTS) or send a message to Twitch and Kick chat.
  • Participation: open and close poll, raffle and queue; draw a winner, call the next viewer and spin the wheel.
  • Profiles: the active profile's key stays lit, so a row of profiles reads at a glance.
  • Alerts and disrupts: fire a specific one from a key.
  • Music: next, previous, pause, volume, shuffle, repeat, clear the queue and ban what's playing.
  • Any button from your Deck on a physical key, with the same artwork you gave it.
  • One drawing per function — chat bubble in each platform's colour, bell, note, gamepad — instead of a generic icon.
  • Works on Stream Deck Mobile too, no hardware needed.

What fits on a key

Two families. Switches have an on and an off, and the key is painted with the real state. Actions are one shot and done.

  • Switches: chat voice for TikTok, Twitch, Kick and YouTube separately; all voice at once (the panic button); music playing and its repeat; alerts and disrupts enabled; timer and stopwatch running; poll, raffle and queue open.
  • Actions: skip what's being read, next and previous track, volume up and down, shuffle the queue, clear it, ban what's playing, fire an alert or a disrupt, reset the timer or the stopwatch, add time, nudge a counter, draw a raffle winner, call the next viewer and spin the wheel.
  • Profile: one key per profile, and the running one stays lit.
  • Deck button: any of the ones you already made, with its artwork. Underneath it's the same press as from your phone, so it respects its cooldown.

Every key looks different

The drawing comes from the function you picked, not the action: the chat bubble takes its platform's colour, music gets its note, alerts their bell, profiles a gamepad and counters their display. Lit means full colour; off means grey. A row of six keys reads at a glance, without leaning in to read the text.

The key knows what's going on

The difference from a keyboard shortcut is that the key isn't blind. The plugin asks OverInteractive every couple of seconds while the key is on screen, so if you turn chat voice off from the dashboard, the key's light goes out by itself. There are never two versions of the truth.

Stream Deck + and Stream Deck Mobile

Music also fits a Stream Deck + dial: turn it to move the volume, push it for whatever you picked, and the screen above shows what's playing. On a regular Stream Deck it's just another key. And with no hardware at all, the plugin works the same on Stream Deck Mobile.

Step by step

  1. Open OverInteractive and go to Integrations → Stream Deck.
  2. Click “Install the plugin”: the app downloads it and hands it to Stream Deck.
  3. Confirm the install in the window Stream Deck opens.
  4. In Stream Deck, find OverInteractive in its action list and drag a key in.
  5. Pick on that key which feature, profile, alert or Deck button you want.

FAQ

I installed the plugin but the app says it's waiting

The plugin only talks to OverInteractive when one of its keys is on screen, or at startup. Drag an OverInteractive key onto your Stream Deck and the app will spot it right away. If it still doesn't show up, check that OverInteractive is open: the plugin talks to it locally.

The keys are dim or say there's no app

That's what you see when OverInteractive is closed. Nothing to fix: open it and the keys light back up on their own.

The key's dropdown is empty

That dropdown is filled by OverInteractive the moment you open it. If it's empty or says it isn't responding, the app wasn't open. Open it and reopen the key's settings.

Do I need a physical Stream Deck?

No. The plugin works the same on Stream Deck Mobile, Elgato's phone app, with no hardware at all.

How is this different from OverInteractive's mobile Deck?

OverInteractive's Deck is our own button board that you open in your phone's browser. The Stream Deck plugin brings those same buttons to the Elgato device, next to the ones from your other apps, and adds the switches and profiles the Deck doesn't have.
